Response.StatusCode problems

I have some image resizing code that resizes images and composites them with
watermarks on the fly. I have integrated HTTP eTag aware caching with the
code, however, the Response.StatusCode which I set to 304 when necessary
always shows up in the server log as a 200 even when the 304 is issued.

The browser doesn't error and behaves as expected, but I want to be able to
log the 304s as 304s, not 200s with a VERY small contentlength.

Please advise.

The Response.StatusCode and Response.StatusDescription are both set in the
Imaging assembly which is separate to the application.

Thanks, Adrian.

I've already posted this to
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet.caching, but there's not exactly a
high volume of posts so I'm trying here instead, please don't be mad at me!
