JavaScript: How to set a value to a textbox on a page?

Excuse my ignorance -- all I want to do is to set a value,
in my client side JavaScript, to one of my text boxes on
my ASP.net page using text box's name. The page contains
multiple controls, including several text boxes. That's
why I want to use the name to identify the box.

Can someone show me how to do it?

Thanks
