I needed to go to my user accounts when I discovered this
aspnet machine account.I didn't know where it came from
so I deleted the account. Now I find it's from netframe
works 1.1 and since I deleted the account(left
netframework 1.0 and 1.1 intact in add/remove)it is
possible I could have problems in future. My question
is,can I reinstall,or uninstall netframework 1.0&1.1 then
reinstall,or leave well enough alone.I don't even know
what this is used for. Thank you.. 5 5732
This account is used by the ASP.NET process to function and serve ASP.NET
web pages, etc.
I would recommend you uninstall your .NET versions, and reinstall them.
Cheers!

I would just download the bits from http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/

.
This would be great...but how about being informed that a
account will be setup in user accounts....I'm not the
only one who was surprised by this extra account... -----Original Message----- BTW, rule of thumb for the future: If you don't know
what it is, don'tdelete it until you do know what it is.
