2.0 FilterParameter s bug

In ASP.NET 2.0, it seems there's a bug with the parameters collections, as
applied to at least the ObjectDataSourc e control. I can't get both an
asp:QueryString Parameter and an asp:ControlPara meter to work side by side in
the FilterParameter s. The presence of the ControlParamete r makes the page
ignore any querystring arguments I have completely.

Does anyone have a link where I can report this?

Hello, on my page, I have a DetailsViewControl connected to a SqlDataSource. Now when I dynamically set the FilterExpression and FilterParameters - for example in a OnClick-EventHandler of a button - the DetailsView shows the filtered Data, but Deleting and Updating doesn't work anymore. The DetailsView changes to EditMode, but after clicking on the UpdateButton it shows the old data. Am I missing something or is it just not possible or...

Hello, Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview control that was returned by an sql query? I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it. I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

Hi, I've got a Gridview utilizing a filterexpression: <asp:ObjectDataSource ID="ObjectDataSource1" runat="server" OnDeleted="ItemDeleted" EnableCaching="true" SqlCacheDependency="APP_TIMESHEET:AB" CacheKeyDependency="AB" SelectMethod="GetABs" TypeName="RetrieveABData" DeleteMethod="DeleteAB"

I have a number of simple select queries that a user needs to be able to execute and display the data on the screen in a gridview. My thought was that I could use a Gridview set to dymanically generate columns and bound to a SQLDataSource. Then the user can click buttons (or whatever) and it changes the SelectCommand property of the SQLDataSource and re-binds the GridView. That worked great until I enabled paging. When paging is...

Using VS2005 and SQL2005. Is there any way to handle multiple FilterParameters or ControlParameters in SQLDataSource on a GridView? I have 4 asp:textbox fields that can have any combination of conditions, but if empty I want to ignore them. I know how to do it in SQL code but want to eliminate that if I can do it with parameters in SQLDataSource control. I am using just 1 now (see below) and it works great. Thanks. David...

Hi. On the first page of my website the user selects one document which can be in either English or French. I store that choice in a class, and I can extract it with: CType(Session("UsersSessionClass"), UserSessionClass).SelLanguage Later in my 'wizard' I have a page which contains this html: __________________________________________________________________ <form id="frmStep4ConfigureDoYous" runat="server"> <%-- Store the language...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
