ok, I fat-fingered the Line control in the Crystal Reports tab of the toolbox and now its gone. I can still insert lines with a right-click, but where is the Line control?
I found the LineObjectInstance in the object browser, inside .Shared...ViewerObjectModel but can't find any control in the customize toolbox window. How do I get the line control back or restore the Crystal Reports Tab?
thx

I have included below virtually all the code to a control I'm trying to
build. My issue is that an array list property in my control does not get
persisted properly to the aspx page code in design time. If I type the code
in the aspx manually it does get parsed correctly though.
This is an example of the aspx code that gets parsed correctly. For some
reason, if I changed update the Tab property of the control through the GUI
at design...

Hello,
Framework: NET 1.1, Language VB
So I am going through the basic walkthrough example in .NET on how to create
a simple custom control. Takes about 2 minutes and when done I have a DLL
that I can add to a toolbox in Web app.
Problem is, once the control is in my toolbox I cannot drag it onto a web
page!!! I get the dreaded 'O' with a line through it. I also tried in HTML
view but when I switch to Design view I get a box...

I created a derived class from "Literal". I put the code in the
App_Code folder and the control is working as expected.
Now, I wan this control to be in the ToolBox, just like the others,
what do I need to do ?
Should it be in a separate library file to be able to get this ?
Thanks in advance,

Hello
i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this
panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is
that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The
control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's
parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this
line
""
before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

Hi all,
This is my first time trying to creaet and use a custome Web Control in a
Web Site project in ASP.NET 2.0 with VS 2005 and VB. I created the control
in a separate Web Control Library project. The original code for that
control was written in VS 2003 for .NET 1.1.
I created a Web Project and pulled the VB module into the project. I
compared the syntax to the VB template classs that was built and it looked
very similar. I then...

When I create a custom control inside my Windows Application project
it does not appear in the toolbox. I'm using Visual Studio 2005 (Team
System for Developers), so this should appear automatically, right?
I've compiled the application and selected show all items, but the
controls do not appear.
If I create an external Windows Control library and import the
controls they appear. I also tried resetting the toolbox, then
creating a new...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
