japanese char

from my asp page i am exporting data from SQlserver db to excel sheet.db having Japanese characters.
iam using
Response.Clear
Response.Buffer = true
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"

to some datas it is coming perfectly. when i am taking another recordset then it is coming as
Application - ƒAƒvƒŠƒP�[ƒVƒ‡ƒ“

<% CodePage=932 %> also.

u need to mention proper character encoding.I think UTF-8 or UTF-16 will serve ur purpose.
