setting up an automatic expired status in the field

hey there! im new in ms access. can you help me with my access data and i want automatically put a remark "expired" text in the (status field) after 5 years from the (date issued field). how can i do that? thank you in advance ^^

Welcome to Bytes!

Do you want the database to check your data every time the DB is opened or do you want to accomplish this as a one-time exercise that can be executed whenever you want? In general, the method is the same, it just depends on the nature of your question. Are you concerned with the automatic aspect or the updating aspect.
