Invoking Crystal Report from Access 2007 causing error

1 New Member
Hi,
I have Access 2000 application, which I want to migrate/upgrade to Access 2007. I am successful in migrating forms and Tables, but there are couple of Crystal Reports in original application, which throws error in Access 2007 like: Dim CryRpt as New CrystalReport gives Compile error as below:
User Defined type not found.
Do I have to make any reference or what am I missing, plz help me.
Thanks in advance
Adi

I know nothing about Crystal reports, but have you set a reference to them?

Most likely, it is what Phil has queried about. You can check by going into the VBA Editor and selecting Tools|Reference from the Menu. If you have reference with "Missing:" in front of it, you'll need to either remove the reference and replace it with a new one (which points to the new file or location) or remove the reference and update any code that relies on this reference.

But a larger concern with your post is that you are using Crystal Reports from Access. They are very similar in Reporting capabilities and I'm not sure why even including Crystal Reports would be an option. Are you sure you need Crystal Reports?
