Punctuation for date

I have the following coded to get a date and it does not work. What is the proper way?
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. strSQL = "SELECT * FROM [Q_CasualSignIn] WHERE DateIx=" & Date & ";"

You need pound signs around your date value.
