Using button to trigger calculation of a field in a form

14 New Member
Good day to you all.
Please I have a form with 6 unbound fields (Field 1-6). Field6 depends on the input of Field1-5. I do not want Field6 to update automatically while inputting data into field1-5. I have a button called "Calculate". I want field6 to update only on the click of this button "Calculate". Any Vba to use please.

Thank you in advance.

You need to provide us with the calculation that you want to take place.

All the calculations have been done using expression. All fields are unbound. Field6 has calculation for FV(I, nper, pmt, pv, 0). Once I insert figure into field1, Field6 automatically recognizes the figure which I don't WANT. I will want a button to update Field6 instead of showing automatically.

Thank you in advance

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Private Sub Button_Blick()
  2.   Me.Field6=FV(I, nper, pmt, pv, 0)
  3. End Sub
