Excel: VBA Copy Files from One List as Another List

I have 2 folders. Folder 1 contains thousands of jpeg images of our parts. The images are saved under the part number for that part.
I want to search this folder for a specific image. if it exists, i want to copy the image and save it in another folder (folder #2) under a different name.

Hence in my worksheet I have 2 columns. In column 1 i have the name of the part number i want to use to search folder 1. if the jpeg image is found, i want to copy the image and save it in folder # 2 under the name found in column 2. If i find multiple images of this part, i want to copy them multiple times with a -pic1, -pic2, etc.

Please help - i am very new to VBA and the answer to my problem would greatly appreciated.

I think we need to get some things sorted from the start Scott :
  1. We don't do the work for you. The best we can do is offer pointers at this stage.
  2. More help may be forthcoming if/when you show the work you've done on this yourself.
  3. Your explanation is fairly reasonable, but does leave the question as to how there can be multiple items in a single folder with the same name. Probably a misunderstanding of course, but as you've explained it that doesn't make good sense.
  4. Where do Folder 1 & Folder 2 come from? That info is missing from the question.

Basically, you need to process through the rows in your spreadsheet, but it's always better to work to a clear spec. Starting prematurely on a sort of spec is never a good approach.
