How to stop Subreports overlapping/obstructing eachother?

Hey!

I have a report with several Subreports. These Subreports don't have the same seize everytime, becasue some records have more information then others.
So when one(subreport) has 5 records showing it overlaps/obstructs the other.

How can I tell the lower based subreport to go down(in this case), so it is readable.

If i just mouve it down in designphase, then it makes a huge blank when showing a diffrent record, because it now has less information to show.

Thanks a lot

Hmmm, I use a lot of subreports in one particular report, and I think I saw something like this when I first did it. I am not sure now how I solved it. Maybe it depends where you put them ... are these subreports in the header, footer or detail section of the master report? I think I have had more success putting them in the header or footer, when possible.

They are all in the Detail Section.

In my Header are a logo and a normal Header. So shall I just put all the information into the Header?!?

That is entirely dependent on whether there are multiple detail lines in this report. The report I did really had no detail of its own, the only purpose of the master report was to bring all these sub-reports together for a day-end recap of everything.

But I can imagine a report listing multiple customers in the detail could have a sub-report for each customer in the list (or each item, vendor, invoice, whatever you might have).

So if it does not completely ruin the report, I'd say, yes, give it a try. Can't do any harm.
