A ghost record

I found something interesting while performing a Query...

I am pulling out a batch of records that were all part of the same work order. After filtering I came up with two records with the same reference ID. I looked up in my table and noticed that this particular record had had a duplicate at one point and I deleted it. My record goes ID 4-5-6-7-(no 8)-9-10 and so on. I remember deleting this record because it was a double entry mistake a while back. But now even if the record was deleted it still shows up in the Query that I just made. What could cause something like that to happen do you think?

Start by doing a compact and repair, and see if that makes the issue go away. It could be database corruption, or it could be something else depending on your query and joins.

If Compact and Repair dont make the issue go away, post your SQL here.

I've compacted and repaired and it didn't work. I then compacted and repaired like 5 times in a row and poof, it worked. I guess my Access engine is like an old car that used to work on a carburetor and needed gas pumping several times before starting.
