Access VBA dynamic subform

1 New Member
Hi there,

Just after some help with creating a subform dynamically. I have a dynamically generated form which I would like to have embedded as a subform of another main parent form.. Any ideas as to how to do this?

I am new to access and VBA, so forgive me if there is a really obvious solution this.

Regards,

First, I think, you have to explain exactly what you mean by a "dynamically generated form." What is generally meant by this term, adding fields/controls at runtime, is a bad concept in Access, and usually means that the developer is trying, as John Vinson once said, to "commit spreadsheet by Access!"

With a clearer picture of what you mean I am sure someone here can help you.

If you're serious about this, and you are doing something more inventive than simply trying to shoehorn an Excel concept into Access, it may be an interesting project. You'd need to be much clearer with exactly what you require, why, and where you're at already though.

From what you've posted so far we cannot tell whether you are an experienced developer needing just a bit of direction towards where to find some things, or a complete n00b who is trying to follow a path they are neither able to grasp nor to implement (even with help). These are the extremes of course. We would need to determine where you fit in on the sliding scale.
