Error 13: Type mismatch Calendar / Browne / Solution

Solution Note:

I am experimenting with an excellent popup calendar I found on the
Allen Browne web site.

I was receiving the following error (Error 13: Type mismatch) when
clicking a button to lauch a
calendar that automatically fills in my unbound textbox. This error
would only occur after I manually entered the date in the text box and
then pressed the button to launch the calendar to
change the date.

I discovered that the problem was the result of me having failed to
set the unbound text box
Format Property to Short Date. This solved the issue.

ThankYou
Allen

Thanks for posting your experience.

Will update the article at:
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-51.html
to identify the cases where error 13 can occur. Someone else also reported
that error when they assigned a non-date value (a zero-length string) to
their text box, so will include that also.
