Report won't open in View or Design mode

1 New Member
Hi All. I'm new to this forum (as a registree) although I do come by here to find answers which I do always find. I thought I'd post a question and see if anyone can help!

I'm developing a DB in 2003 (I've been using Access since version 2). Our departemtn recently relocated and the printer I had been using has been switch off. So yeah, we have a new printer and my Access DB can see it (I can print the VBA code or a form etc. but my issue is I cannot open a report in Design view or normal view actually.

Now I do know that Access has issues with printer etc. I've tried VBA to change the default printer (Application.Printer = Application.Printers(""MyPrinter Name")) but that hasn't helped. I've opened a form in design view and gone FILE->PRINT SETUP and forced the default printer.

Still my report will not run or open in design view. One of the errors I get is "The Wizard is unable to create your report" when I even just try creating a report wiht the Wizard.

Has anyone come accross this issue and if so - how did you go about fixin it? By the way, I can not open a report in Design View in order to change it's printer! I tried that one first!

Thanks

What happens when you try to open it in design view? An error message?
