Getting index of open workbook

41
In my code for a form in Access, I open an Excel workbook. Is there a way to return the index number of that open workbook so I can use it in "Workbooks(index).Sheet(#) etc? I need this to be as general as possible so that I can open a bunch of workbooks one after the other.

At the moment I just make sure all instances of Excel are closed, then I run the form so that the index of the first workbook is 1... but I cannot expect all the users to do that.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, cloh.

The common way to do it is to declare and use Excel.Workbook type variable.
As you have already.
