OLE using Picture Publisher 5

I would like to start off by saying i'm in no way an expert by any
means. I've had access since 97 and way back then set up a database
for eBay stock. i had the old micrografx picture publisher program
also installed. i got bloat i guess it's called due to the jpgs
unbound in my form view, to get around this and still have pictures i
created a start up database then just copied and renamed it for the
different items on eBay, postcards, record albums, coins, pottery, art
etc as i needed them. anyway i've just upgraded my camera and the
format is now not supported by picture publisher. i knew for years i'd
have to change it some day and i guess now is the time. i have office
2003 if i uninstall picture publisher what will happen to my ole
field? or is there a way to have access forget about the picture
publisher program for ole objects and use the pix fax viewer. i plan
to just have a html link that opens with the pix fax viewer. actually
got it to work on a test database but the application program was
still that old picture publisher program. i hope this makes sense to
someone as to what i'm trying to do. That old picture publisher
program let me keep a decent thumb in my forms even after i upgraded
to 03. but now it won't read my camera jpgs due to extra property tags
as to camera make settings etc now attached to my pictures, well i
went around and around enough. thanks in advance for anyones help

Take the photos out of the mdb and put them in the filesystem. Display
them on the Form and Report thus:

Although storing photos in the OLE Object field can be convenient for
the operator, you are at the mercy of these problems.
