Changing DNS & DATABASE in Query property

HI,

I want to transfer a list of query to a new database. So I need to change their DNS & DATABASE data in their connect string, especially for pass-though query. Can I do this using a module to just run the code and it will go through all the query's property automatically? Anybody has the code to do this? BTW I'm still using Access 97!!

thanks,

I have no idea how this will work in 97...I haven't used it in a while. But

If you are familiar with a query definition sequence, it's fairly easy.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Function resetDSN()
  2. Dim qdf As dao.QueryDef
  3. Set qdf = CurrentDb.QueryDefs("YourPassthroughQueryName")
  4. qdf.Connect = "yourconnectionstringhere DSN= '" & YourDSNVariable & "' and more string as required"
  5. set qdf = nothing
  6. End Function
  7.
Hope this helps.
