Made modifications to a form and now it won't all me to add new record. Any ideas?

I made a few changes to a form and now it will not allow a new record to be added. This is true whether from the Switchboard or from the form itself. I can add a record to the table. What did I do to cause this?

Right click on the field in which you enter the data and select Properties.

A little window should appear Displying various tabs such as format, data, event etc

Click on the data tab. Check that the locked option says no. If it says yes then change it to no. (With Locked =yes means that you cannot make changes to that field)

I hope this helps

At a guess I would say you have Set the Allow Additions property (under the Data tab to No. Change it to Yes and you should be fine.

Otherwise your Record source for the form if based on a query may not be updateable.
