Normal/Odd Access Behavior

1,892 Expert 1GB
I have several Access 2003 db's that reside on shared drives. When my first user opens the DB the .lbd lock file gets pushed out. From that point forward other users can't use their shortcuts to open the DB. If they manually open Access, then go to the recent DB section they can open the DB. Why would the shortcuts not work? I have checked out the security settings and don't see anything that would cause this behavior.

TIA,
Aric

Indeed strange. I would start with checking the.ldb file's attribute settings. Is it perhaps made read-only ?
Secondly I would check the code executed in the opening of the database (like the OnOpen of your main form).
Finally I would check or the Options for the database are set for shared use.
