Weekdays only on Form/Table

We use an Access database as a task scheduler. I thought I could include a validation rule that would make it so tasks could not be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday. I thought wrong.

Can anyone direct me on how to do this?

You've shared so little detail with which to work - I can only say that the Weekday() function will return a number representing the day of the week.
This should help you to set up restrictions in your database to allow only what you want.

'Assuming that your Date Field min the underlying Table is called
'[Task_Date], in the Validation Rule Row type the following:

Weekday([Task_Date]) In (2,3,4,5,6)

'This will have the effect of only allowing Dates that do not fall on a Saturday or
'Sunday. BTW, you should also provide informative feedback in the event that
'the User prvides an invalide Date (Saturday or Sunday). This can be done
'in the Validation Row

Hope this helps you...
