Writing a VC++ chat room

I am a vc++ programmer and I want to create some client AND server
software in vc++. I will be writing a chat room and hopefully
installing it on the internet. What technology should I use? OLE
automation? COM?.NET? SOAP?. Does anyone know where I can get some good
sample code? Peter, Ireland

My suggestion is that you leave it to the experts, or at least people
who can read and post questions in the proper forums.

We'd only be guessing, hon. You probably don't need your C++ skills for a
web app. Suggest you post your question in some web-oriented newsgroups. Be
prepared to learn new skills in more than one new programming language.
