using report to extract unique values

Hi,

form name: person_wise

i ve insert a option group.
framename=date tracker
option 1= track by date
option 2=by task....( not implemented now)

preview command button is there.
when i click that, it ask for taskstartdate and enddate and displays a report accordingly like 10/11/06 to 15/11/06. exact date result. but i want unique person name and his taskstartdate and taskenddate.

i ve given the criteria in startdate field in report as between[taskstartdate]and [taskenddate] do i ve to give for person also like this or else

Hi. Take a look at the keyword DISTINCT. It might be what you have been looking for.

I think you're along the right lines here.
If you want the report to show details for only one person then you do need to restrict the output to that one person.
The Filter is the best place for this.
