MS Access and Web Interface

Question from a newbie. I am in the process of creating a couple of linked
databases with carious report views and an input form for users to add and
edit records. This database has to be accessible by several concurrent users
some in completely different geographic regions where access to our network
server is limited or non-existent. Putting this on our intranet may be a
better solution. My question is, can I create the databases, forms, and
reports in Access and then somehow import that or create a web interface
where users would access the input forms and reports etc? How is this done?
I see references in the documentation I have about web based databases but
nothing about how to actually do it. Thanks for your input regarding this.
