Why are my graphs so ugly??

This seems like such a basic issue, but I can't figure it out: I am
trying to produce smooth, curved graphs in an Access report. I use a
function I built to analyze manufacturing data and produce the data
points for a normal curve summarizing different groups. I know the
function is correct, and when I copy the output to Excel and make a
chart, the curves are perfectly smooth. However, when I use the same
information as the source for a chart in an Access report, the chart
always renders (on the print view, and printed out), very jagged. It
seems that Access recalculates the vectors for the curve in an almost
pixelated manner; that is, it seems to convert the curve to a
collection of points on a rough grid. The results are marginally
acceptable, but pretty ugly. Such low resolution would be unacceptable
for a more detailed graph. How can I change this???

Thanks,
J.M.H.
