Obtaining handle to control object on a form

Hello, can anyone advise how I might retrieve the handle to a textbox on a form or report? I ultimately want to count the number of lines within that textbox, and resize the text accordingly, so that all the text is displayed when printed. I can get a handle to the parent window with 'GetFocus', but I'm struggling to address the control! Any ideas?

I am slightly confused here because I am not sure if what you mean when you say "when printed" - are you printing something (like a report) after the form is closed or do you simply want to make sure that everything the user types into the text box displays? You say you want to count the "number of lines" within the textbox. Is this really a textbox or a note field? Data entry into a text box stops when the user presses <ENTER> so normally there will only be one "line" in a text box (even though it may look like more from the text wrapping)

Text wrapping and field size (number of characters allowed to be entered) and font size can be controlled in the text box properties - if you are printing after the form is closed - you would have to control these attributes in text box on the report (not the form)

You can address the control on the form with the ! method (qv Access help) From what I understand of your question, I don't think however that obtaining a "handle" for the control will help you get the results you want.
