Subject: Access Reading and writing emails

Hi Guys

I arrived at the holy grail of Access 2000 programming about a year
ago, when I found out how to READ AND WRITE to and from the Microsoft
Outlook Inbox <smug>

Now the pesky endusers are saying they want to be able to use the
program when the default email client is something other than Microsoft
Outlook. Like Outlook Express or Eudora.

Mercifully, This is just on unconnected stand alone machines, but I am
stumped as to where to go from here.

It has been suggested that CDO would answer my requirements.

Any Advice appreciated.

Bob

Well what I did was import the email addresses into the database. Them
modify the the tabel to suit my needs. Email address don't change that
much, but just in case I could do that. Outlook and Outlook Express are
similar, but I havn't seen any code that will allow any access
programmer to use Outlook Express. Maybe there is utility for Outlook
Express or Eudora. That would be great huh! Well this topic is going to
interesting. Keep my good eye on it.
