I'm trying to completely unsecure an A97 app

MLH
The guy I've given it to is running Access 2003. He says he
tries to open the file and is presented with a message to the
effect that he doesn't have permission. He tried it with 2002
and it told him he had to join a workgroup to do it. Have I
missed something in my effort to completely unsecure the
A97 app? Well, obviously, I have. But I'm at a loss as to what.

I overlooked mentioning that I can open an A97 session after
joining the original out-a-the-box system database that requires
no user login and open this file in Access 97. I do not own nor
have access to A2002 or 2003. So I have to rely on this guy's
feedback when trying to open the A97 app with the advanced
versions of Access.

What could I suggest to him? (he tried to install A97 and encountered
messages saying more advanced versions of Access were found and
he claims that prevented him from completing the A97 installation).

I suggest that he create a new db and import all the objects from your
db into it. This procedure allowed me to open your NZ sample db in
Access 2003 when I experienced the same problem you describe. Importing
all the objects may not deal with relationships, references and custom
properties. You may need other strategies for these.
You could also try this with a fresh Access97 copy. Perhaps this would
clear up any special security you have set. And perhaps not.
