Form - won't allow input or new record

MJ
I have a form that won't allow me to enter data. The sub-forms work
fine, but the main one won't allow input or a new record. What am I
overlooking?

Wow. Serious case of pin the tail on the donkey. Let me get this
straight. You have a main form/subform, and you can enter data into
the *sub*form, but not the *main* form? that's backwards. Did you
declare a relationship between the two tables? Did you enforce
referential integrity? If you did, you can't add child records until
you have a parent record to add them to.
Did you somehow set the AllowAdditions propery of the parent form to
False?
Did you base the main form on a union query?

Like I said, I'm having a hard time seeing through the blindfold...
fill in some of the blanks for us, will ya?
