Database For Tracking BSI Program

Alison,

You are going to find this a real coincidence! To begin with, I am Roberta
Laird's husband. I think you know Roberta. We also are friends with Laura
McConnell. Anyway, I am in business to provide customers with a resource for
help with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word applications. You can view my
website at www.pcdatasheet.com. I was looking through posts on the Access
newsgroup this morning for something and had it sorted alphabetically. When
I reopened the newsgroup just now it was still sorted alphabetically and it
opened to the top of the list. Your post titled "How to track monthly
enrollment" was about two thirds down the list. I'm always looking for
possible projects to do for people so I opened yours and right away
recognized you. For the rest of the coincidence, I am working on a BSI
database for a school district in New Jersey right now and should have it
done by the beginning of next week. Some of the features are:
o Tracks BSI Program for Reading, Language and Math
o Records Classroom Teacher and BSI Teacher for each student
o Records Standardized test scores for students
o Records Adds and Drops
o Records Classroom Teacher Rating Score and Report Card Grade for each
Add/Drop
o Records Reason(s) for each Add/Drop
o Records student progress
o Outputs following reports:
a) Standard Department of Education form for Counting Pupils For
State Compensatory Education Funding By Grade
b) Standard Department of Education Tally List By each program
area, by BSI and ESL in each area and all by grade.
c) Standard Department of Education list of students in BSI
Program with biographical data and standardized test scores for each
student.
d) Monthly Program Summary Report for each BSI subject area
showing number of BSI and ESL students in the program for the month for each
subject area and the number of Adds and Drops for each subject area for the
month.
e) Add form
f) Drop form
g) Progress Report to be sent home to student's parents

I am planning on eventually selling the database to school districts. If you
would be willing to work with me primarily showing me what the needs are for
Pennsylvania schools, I will be willing to give you a copy of the fnished
program at a deeply discounted price. I would need for you to meet with me,
show me the BSI program you do, the forms you use, to correspond by email on
questions and answers and to review my database program. Since we are both
in Clarion, working together would be easy. Email me at
re******@pcdatasheet.com and let me know if you are interested in working on
a BSI Program database together.
