Load Flat File

ED
Can anyone give me a solution to loading a flat file with an extension
of .txt into an access table automatically, aka user clicks a command
button.

Thanks

Look at the TransferText method in Help.

You can create a specification file to import the file.
(File/GetExternalData/Import). Be sure to click Advanced button to save
the Import/Export specification and give it a name that makes sense.

Under Advanced you can give each import field a name more descriptive
than Field1, Field2, etc. You can also define which fields to import
and which fields to ignore in the txt file by setting the SKIP box to
true or false.

Once you have your spec file created you can use the TransferText method.
