Table Value Setting..conditiontal

Hi:

I would like to be able to define a table value as equal to another value in the table, IF
the entry is on a friday. I know all the logic to do this, but somehow in the table
definition it wont let me refer to the table itself for a value.

Field A is the original field
B is the one I am setting

I want to set it so that if today is friday then Field B = Field A, if not it is blank.
Field A is an auto incremented record number.

Anyone able to help with this,. I know i could do a query after, but would rather do it
all at initial entry.

best

Derived values such as this belong in queries, forms, and reports. Not in
tables.

Create a query that calculates this as a new field and use the query in all
places you currently use the table. Drop the field from your table.
