database over internet?

hi. I am faily experienced using microsfot access to create databases as i
have been using it for the last two years. I would now like to access my
database over the internet, with a username and password system and only
certain feilds being shown to certain users. How would i go about doing
this? what is the best way? i was thinkin of creating a visual basic
application and accessing it through that, or would it be easier to just use
a data page? thanks for all the help :)
