Form with subforms

Dear community

I have recently created an MS-Access database to store and process
the various phone numbers, phone devices we use in our hospital. I`m
experiencing a problem creating a specific form.
In that form I need to find a total count of records in a table
subject to an alternating criterion. The criterion is given from a
third table. How can I create a dynamic query that accepts a criterion
from an edit box?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards

George,

It sounds like you need something similar to the way you enter strat and end
dates.

Create a pop-up form with a textbox for entering your criteria. Put this
expression in the criteria of your query:
Forms!NameOfPopupForm!NameOfTextbox on pop-up form.

Note that the pop-up form must be open when the query runs!
