Updating more than 2000 records in access

Hi:

I need to update more than 2000 items in my application.
But this takes lot of time.
I tried transactions but no difference.
What is the best way to bulk update the DB?

Thanks

Updating 2000 records via SQL should be quick - depending on how
complex the update is....can you provide more info regarding the type
of update and how you're performing now...
