Parameter Help

I am tying to set a parameter in a query that will only slect cutomer codes
between two given #'s. I have a 3 part query....... 1st I am querying the
customer codes that have a current balance. Then I am using a crosstab
pulling from that query to get the current, over 30, over 60, etc.... and
then I am putting that in another query to get the company names and
addresses for my report. I am unable to specify the cutomer codes by a
parameter without getting The Microsoft Jet database engine does not
reconize '[Enter Customer Code]' as a valid field name or expression.
HELP I am lost.

Thanks,
Greg

Just a quick tip on crosstab queries, my experience has been that you
will experience way less heartache if you base your crosstab queries on
a table (or query with no params).

As for your parameter query, if you place

[Enter Customer Code]

in the criteria section of a field in your query, you need to
right-click in the body of the query (in design view of the query - the
part of the query that contains the table). In the dropdown box which
will display you need to select Parameters. This brings up the
Parameter window. Here you enter the same text as the text above
between the [ ] in the Parameter column and then add "Text" as the
datatype in the datatype column. This will now bring up the desired
prompt when you invoke your query ("Enter Customer Code").
