I have a split Access 2000 database that I've been asked to secure. The data is sensitive and users include programmers who are routinely accessing the data directly, so I plan to remove all permissions from the tables in the backend and then create RWOP queries to retrieve all the fields in the tables so users are limited to the column/row...

I have a database that someone else put together to maintain. Security is handled via group membership in the System.mdw file. Some groups have data deletion rights to a particular table while other groups don't. One change involves flagging a record as deleted instead of actually deleting it. Not a problem - except that I don't want groups...

Hi, I'm developing a site with a public and members section. I'm using vbscript, asp, and an access database. The login page is processed by the members page. If you are a valid member the member page loads. If not the member page redirects you to the restricted access page. On the restricted access page I want to run a script that...

This is an odd problem, when upgrading an application from 2000 to 2003, two of the forms have most of the control's Visible property set to false. What's really bizarre about this is that opening the database in A2k works perfectly and then opening a copy in A2k3 displays this behaviour. Any ideas?

Hi there, This issue was reported and discussed long ago in 2002. I was wondering whether there is in the meantime a simple solution or fix for the problem that in Win XP fonts are differently displayed. Thanks! Sabine

My form has "Arrival" to be filled in by user. I need a report of all the arrivals for the next 7 days. In MSWorks database, I used => now() and <= now()+7 to filter, naturally it doesn't work in Access 2000. Is there a comparable command? TIA
