Does anyone know how to rewrite the headers of outgoing emails in Exchange Server 2000? I know there are pre and post submit hooks, but I've never done it before. I'll dig into the docs, but I was hoping someone's already done it. Thanks

I need some users to don't use the internet where others need them to use it. Is there any way doing that in windows server without installing an additional software? thank you for pointing...

Hello all, I'm having a bit of trouble getting file sharing to work between a desktop running Windows Vista (which has the files to share) and a laptop running 7 (which I'd like to be able to view the files). I've been reading through everything I can online and nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have a clever trick I'm missing to get...

Hi I have inserted (tested insertion both as a picture and as an Excel file) an Excel bar graph into an MS Word document. When I print out the relevant pages on a colour printer, ALL graph lines are printed; BUT when I print on a mono (Dell laser) printer, all graph lines do NOT print. (And I have tried both "auto" line colour option and a dark...

At work our backup process includes rotating in and out some external hard drives. To do this we are using eSATA with this card http://www.amazon.com/Iogear-RAID5-External-2-port-PCI-Express/dp/B001A4Y6IW/ref=sr_1_2?tag=slickdeals&ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266443148&sr=8-2 The data is copied from External Drive 1 to External drive 2 and then...

To run SpywareBlaster 4.2 (Free Edition), apparently every time I boot up I have to manually launch it and then click Enable All Protection, right? Even then I don't see it in Windows Task Manager (under either the Applications or Processes tabs), or in the Windows Taskbar Notification Area. What gives?

Is WOT's list of bad websites better than Microsoft's? And does WOT enable you to download their list (like an anit-virus program lets you download a list of virus definitions)? Because that's not what SmartScreen does. It sends the URLs to Microsoft to check, which sounds like an invasion of privacy to me.

There is a lot of confusion and attempts to resolve the Windows 7 (and Vista) multi-boot issue (some good, some not so good). I'll do my best to clear things up a bit. 1) When you install Windows 7 on a second (SATA in my case) drive from the DVD while running XP (DON'T BOOT FROM THE DVD), the installation will automatically create the...

Am I correct that WOT, IE8's SmartScreen, and OpenDNS checks the URLs of websites online against their own databases, while SpywareBlaster checks URLs against IE’s resident list of Restricted Sites? And that in addition, SpywareBlaster also changes Windows and browser settings to block bad sites?

IE8’s Protected Mode can run at low integrity, under which applications can't be launched without the user's permission. Am I right that there’s no point in enabling this, since PC Tools Firewall is already prompting me as to whether I want to allow applications to be launched? Or does IE8’s Protected Mode also offer other protection as well?

Can anybody tell me where to find comparative software reviews that would indicate the most secure OS, antivirus, antispyware / antimalware, firewall, clean-up utility, browser, malicious website warning, etc.?

I've repeatedly tried to change my logon screen saver timeout time via Start | Run regedt32 | HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveTimeOut but although it faithfully stores the number of seconds I want, it keeps actually timing out after 10 minutes no matter what. It wouldn't matter otherwise, but having more than one user...

Hello charitable, I have a repetitive task that requires the user to go to a command prompt, navigate to a folder (usually deep in the system), and perform a syntax scan on a file (with an in-house program), and this occurs thousands of times a year across a few users. In order to simplify this task, I have gone into the registry and created a...

Recently my browser started to repeatedly lose the ability to support multiple tabs. We currently run D2D2T for backups, but we are reaching our capacity for both disc space as well as space in our tape auto loader. I was originally looking to replacing out current auto loader (AIT) with a newer auto loader (LTO3/LTO4) for added capacity as well as the speed increase. The issue here is that we use BE 9.1, and we do not have a...

Can anybody recommend an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program that can do what I need it to do? Here's the situation: Over a period of time, I figured out the chords to about 280 songs.
