SMS text message

Whenever we have a change in our customers' data we need to send out an SMS
(Simple Message Service) text message to the customers mobile phone, to
those who have opted to receive. We would like to do this in a windows
services written in c#. what are setup I need to do? Hardware, software
requirements?

Developer,

I find your question difficult to answer. It really depends on your
requirements. You see how absurd the situation would be I started to make
the requirements, not you.

As Neil pointed out in other post, the service provider is viable
alternative, but that depends on the amount of messages.

With simple Google search you can find at least several ActiveX component
providers for sending text messages. If that's not alternative for you, let
us know your requirements!
Ron,
P.S. SMS stands for Short Message System

Hi

You may also search http://uddi.microsoft.com or other Web service registry
(see www.UDDI.org) for 'SMS'
It will give you list of web services to use

..Net have native support for web services.
