SOAPpy

hi,

there is a soap service:
http://waluty.k2.pl/ws/NBPRates.asmx

the question is why when i call GetRateValue method i always get '0' result?

import SOAPpy
srv = SOAPpy.WSDL.Pro xy("http://waluty.k2.pl/ws/NBPRates.asmx?W SDL")
srv.GetAllCodes () 'AUD CAD CHF CYP CZK DKK EEK EUR GBP HKD HUF JPY LTL LVL MTL NOK RUB SEK
SIT SKK UAH USD XDR ZAR ' srv.GetRateValu e('USD')

'0'

it seems that methods with no params are working but these that take at
least one param not.

you can check it by going to http://www.soapclient.com/soaptest.html and
entering http://waluty.k2.pl/ws/NBPRates.asmx?WSDL as WSDL File Address

the rate should be ~3.1379 or something

thanks,
pb

Hi, Can anyone provide me with sample code that will allow me to use SOAPpy with a WSDL file using HTTP basic authentication? The only thing I've been able to find on the net is SOAPpy.URLopener. However, I am unclear what the relationship is between SOAPpy.URLopener and SOAPpy.WSDL is. Is it as straightforward as this? > from SOAPpy import WSDL

I'm trying to setup a SOAPpy service under xinetd. Has someone done this sort of thing? Didn't find it from google searches or documentation. This is probably a sockets-level issue, but I was hoping someone in python land had done this with SOAPpy before. The server works fine as simple SOAP server and client pair on localhost. But when I try to put it under xinetd, it fails. Using "xinetd -d" I can see it is failing due to address...

Hi, I am using python SOAPpy module to call a web service. Call to web service gets executed successfully. I am facing a problem if the call to WS results into redirect. I get "HTTPError: <HTTPError 302 Moved Temporarily>" If I enable the debug info, I do get the new redirected url. How do I divert my WS request to new url?

Note: this is in reply to a message from August 2 which i found searching for help on my own problem. I couldn't seem to reply to it, but a friend suggested that simply using the same subject would put it in that thread. In case he's wrong, i quoted the previous comments . Hello Pythoneers: I would like to ask you a simple question: Are you satisfied by SOAPpy module? Actually, I use this module since a year and i immediately found it very well-implemented, corresponding to dynamic "meta-data" discovering nature of SOAP/WSDL. BUT i read sometimes threads saying that SOAPpy is "dead" and we should

I am trying to use a webservice with SOAPpy: import SOAPpy intact_wsdl = "http://www.ebi.ac.uk/intact/binary-search-ws/binarysearch?wsdl" intact_serv = SOAPpy.WSDL.Proxy(intact_wsdl) The resulting error message is posted below. If I understand it right, XMLSchema.py complains about the imported XSD namespace being the same as the existing targetNamespace.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
