OSTDLL - 2 error(s), 0 warning(s)

I have already read following article:
PRB: Porting MFC Projects to Visual C++ .NET Changes Target Operating System
http://support.microsoft.com/default...en-us%3B320479
Article ID : 320479

which adresses the problem of porting an MFC application
According to this i chamged my StdAfx.h (inserted "#define _WIN32_WINNT
0x0400" in StdAfx.h)

Here is how my StdAfx.h :

// stdafx.h : include file for standard system include files,
// or project specific include files that are used frequently, but
// are changed infrequently
//

#if !defined(AFX_ST DAFX_H__9AE25BA 0_6F53_4A34_B6F 0_E60305EDD709_ _INCLUDED_)
#define AFX_STDAFX_H__9 AE25BA0_6F53_4A 34_B6F0_E60305E DD709__INCLUDED _
#if _MSC_VER > 1000
#pragma once
#endif // _MSC_VER > 1000

//#define VC_EXTRALEAN // Exclude rarely-used stuff from Windows headers

//this is important for the porting to dotnet
#define _WIN32_WINNT 0x0400

#ifndef _AFX_NO_AFXCMN_ SUPPORT
#include <afxcmn.h> // MFC support for Windows Common Controls
#endif // _AFX_NO_AFXCMN_ SUPPORT

//{{AFX_INSERT_LO CATION}}
// Microsoft Visual C++ will insert additional declarations immediately
before the previous line.

#endif //
!defined(AFX_ST DAFX_H__9AE25BA 0_6F53_4A34_B6F 0_E60305EDD709_ _INCLUDED_)

Where is the bug? What can i do?
Any help is appreciated!

Dear All, I have Apache using port 80. So I changed IIS to use port 8000 as default web service. After that all my .net projects were not able to load into Visual Studio .net. Do you know how to configure Visual Studio .net to load web projects from port 8000? Thanks for the help!!! Thanks, Rudy

I'm trying to port it to Visual Studio for the IDE tools and debugger, but am having a lot of problem with code that works in my original app and not in Visual Studio. Hi. I have an asp.net web application. Normally when i want to build and run it I press CTRL + F5, this starts the cassini web server and opens a browser window where the url is http://localhost:RandomPort the 'RandomPort' being the same port number that the cassini web server is listening on. However, as of today, when I CTRL + F5 the port number in the browser url is always exactly 7 less than the one the cassini web server is using.

I'm trying to upgrade a large project from VS 6.0 to VS 2005. After fixing a lot of things that changed (mostly sloppy coding in the original project that VS2005 didn't allow), I got the release version to build successfully. Unfortunately, it crashes right away when I start it. So now I need to build the debug version. Unfortunately, the compiler gives innumerable error messages of the sort shown below. The #include file referenced...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
