Wordpress or something else?

1 New Member
I am starting a new it consulting business and it's been a while since I setup a new website. Is wordpress still the best web based software for hosting a 5 page website? The webpages will be simple pages describing my business and have contact information to get hold of me to schedule a call or for support issues.

Is there anything easier?

I totally get where you're coming from. WordPress has been a staple for ages, and it's definitely a solid choice, especially for a simple 5-page site like yours. It offers a user-friendly interface and plenty of customization options, which is great when you're just getting started and don't want to get bogged down with complex coding.

While WordPress is fantastic, it does require a bit of maintenance to keep things running smoothly. That's where WordPress management services come in handy. They can handle all the nitty-gritty stuff like updates, security patches, and backups, so you can focus on growing your business without worrying about your website crashing or getting hacked.

Wix is a popular website builder platform that is a leading alternative to WordPress. It offers a limited free plan to use for personal or small business website. Both free and paid plans come with pre-designed templates that users can modify using a drag-and-drop page builder.

There exist other website builders. WordPress is flexible and customizable. 'Easier' depends on one's level of expertise.

I recently discovered Frogstone Media, and they offer top-notch WordPress management services. I haven't personally used them yet, but from what I've seen, they seem pretty legit. Plus, their website looks super sleek and professional, check it out here: https://www.frogstonemedia.com. Just make sure to consider investing in some management support to save yourself time and headaches down the road.

Tuples are defined with regards to parentheses ()'s as everyone knows. This causes confusion for 1 item tuples since (5) can be interpreted as a tuple OR as the number 5 in a mathematical expression such as x = (5) * (4+6). Wouldn't it have been better to define tuples with <>'s or {}'s or something else to avoid this confusion?? ...

Is it possible to set up an event handler or something else so that when *any* link on the page is clicked it 'fires-up', executes some JS and then continues to process the link that was clicked? I'm currently modifying a daemon (on AIX unix) which is primarily C source. At the moment, the daemon sleeps 30 seconds before checking if it has anything to do, but I'd like to improve this so that something else can trigger it to wake up immediately. I can handle the wake-up code, it's the signalling that's giving me headaches - I'm not...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
