Error 80004005

This post is directly related to MS Knowledge Base
Article 306269, "Error 80004005 The MS Jet Database
Engine Cannot Open the File"

- - This is the precise error I'm getting on a new
Login .asp page. Have followed the resolution steps
outlined in Article 306269 (mentioned above) which have
not resulted in success. Below is the TOTAL error message
I'm getting, if anything may be determined by this:

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft
Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It
is already opened exclusively by another user, or you
need permission to view its data.
/TMP6ud6sp84zg.a sp, line 14

- - The file is NOT open by another user, and I've
checked all file/folder/system permissions and have not
been able to determine any barriers here either. - The
last line of the error is puzzling (/TMP6ud6sp84zg.a sp,
line 14) - I don't know what to make of this. In my code,
line 14 is the following:

MM_rsUser.Activ eConnection = MM_HDSlogin_STR ING

- - "HDSlogin is my correct database. Some additional
info: (using) MS Access Database, IIS 5, WinXP

Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks,

John D.

Hello, I have been trying to solve this problem for a couple of weeks now with no progress. I created a package that works when it runs from my computer but when it runs as a scheduled job, it fails. I found references to this quite a few times and the responses have always pointed to permissions, but I am a System Administrator. My role is Sysadmin. I changed the Windows/NT owner of the job to sa and that didn't work either. I made...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
