Check boxes in continuous subform

Thanks Turtle, but ... what for ? Could you please explain a little
more.
I am wanting to know the status of all check boxes in a continuous
form ie. all are 'ticked'.

You'll need an extra field in the table underlying the subform.

Hi all,

Is it possible to check the status of the check box on every record in
a continuous subform ( one check box per record ).

I am wanting to check the " Approved " status of all subform records
in the Before_Update event of a main form combo.
Thanks and regards

Karl.

If you put a checkbox on the form without binding it to a field in the
recordset (underlying table), it will behave the same for each record -
tick one, they're all ticked; untick one, they're all unticked.
In order to keep the information for each record separate, you need to add a
Yes/No field to the underlying table, and bind your checkbox to it.

If you'd like to post a few more details on what you want to do with the
information you garner, perhaps I can help with the coding...

Perhaps do a quick lookup such as

if isnull(DLookup( "Approved","Tab leName","Approv ed=0 AND .....)) then
'either all records are checked or there are no record in the
subform
end if

Is there any way to do this on a form in Access 97? If the value of a combo box is .5, I want two check boxes to be visible (labels are a.m and p.m.). If the value of the combo box is 1, I want the two check boxes to be invisible. Thanks, JD

I put in a field in the underlying table with a default value of 1. I created a text box which adds up the values in the new field

I am a good programmer, but this one stumps me! I have a form with a continuous subform. The continuous subform contains records of data and may reach a depth of 1000's of entities. I have created a search button on my form and it does its job quite well. It presents the user with an inputbox, prompting for the string to search. Then the code returns with a record number of the record which contains the string. Here's the problem. I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
