Reference to invalid character

I am trying to write some attribute to a xml file. The xml is a DOM. When i add it takes the attribute as iPod nano, 2 Go - Argent but when i print it on console it comes as iPod nano, 2 Go - Argent. Because it writes in xml with the invalid character , it does not open in mozilla.

you cannot save invalid characters to XML (whether as string or as DOM). period. you might need to check, whether the encoding of your input/XML matches (if you input Unicode and save it as ISO, there are bound to be mismatches)
