Multicolumn text in xsl:fo

1
I wonder if it is possible to perform the following in xsl:fo.

There should be a block with left and right columns in the page. If an input text overfills the left columns, then it should start to fill the right column. All other blocks (text) on the page(s) should not use splitting into two columns.

bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
1.aaa 4.aaa
2.aaa 5.aaa
3.aaa 6.aaa
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

Is it possible? If so, could anybody explain me, please?

I have not seen this done except with a custom div inside which splits the page into two columns.
