I've had this before, but can't remember if it was because
1. The XML isn't saved correctly or contains funny characters that aren't stored correctly.
2. The XSLT stylesheet has been moved to a different directory or changed somehow.
You should be able to find the location at Tools, Options, Messages, Message History
