No namespace schema

I have an xml string with the following elements
<Show>
<Id>aaaaaaa</Id>
</Show>

I want to create an exd to validate the xml however I keep getting a namespace
being added. What am I missing?

Sample xsd
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<xs:schema id="Show"
xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
<xs:element name="Show">

The sample xsd is not complete. If more is needed let me know.
Basically I'm getting the xml string and want to validate it, however
the xml string doesn't have a namespace.

I don't understand what you mean when you say: "I keep getting a namespace being added"

How are you generating/retrieving the xml?
What are you using to validate the xml?

Is your problem with the xml generation or the schema generation?

I have an serialiable object defined in .net
the class name is Show
and it has an "Id" property.
If I serialize this object using the xmlserializer, it adds
xmlns="" to the Show tag (ex: <Show xmlns="">)
I don't want the namespace to appear in the tag.

Does it really matter?
xmlns="" just puts the xml in the default empty namespace.
It should only matter if you need the xmlns to be in a different namespace, or if you are using tricks to import this xml file into another as text without having to change the namespace manually.
