I will try to explain this as clearly as possible, here goes:-
I'm working on an university assignment to design an electronic proof of delivery document for a firm which has customers over europe.
The solution does not need to be detailed, complicated or in-depth.
The customer will sign the proof of delivery on PDA equipment which will be set with the UK time.
I would like to add element(s) to the schema (or maybe even the XSL ??) to allow me to modify the time at the XSL stylesheet for non UK customers so the delivery time is really their time.
I have read but dont understand the timezone elements available in XML schema.
Does anyone have any ideas?
All I want to do is show evidence I've thought about it at least on the schema, maybe just have a timezone element with numerations for 'GMT+1', 'GMT+2' etc..,
Copied below European Timezones Information:-
Iceland maintains GMT all year long (does not switch to Daylight Saving Time),
Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal are on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) in the winter - from last Sunday in October at 2:00 AM to last Sunday in March at 2:00 AM. They are on BST (British Summer Time) which is GMT +1 in the Summer - from last Sunday of March at 2:00 AM to last Sunday in October at 2:00 AM.
The countries at GMT +1 are: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, France, Spain, Monaco, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia and Malta. They're part of the Central European Time (CET) in the winter and Central European Summer Time (CEST) otherwise.
At GMT +2, known as Eastern European Time (and Eastern European Summer Time - GMT+3), we have the following 12 countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia - Kaliningrad, Turkey and Ukraine.
Russia is the only European country at GMT+3 in its western time zone.
